She was predeceased by : her parents, Phillip Whilhite and Frances Stewart Crossley; and her son William "Franky" Whilhite. She is survived by : her husband Forrest Shouse Jr.; her children, Crystal Sowders and Dewey Whilhite; and her siblings, Jo Whilhite-Hodges and Timmy Whilhite. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
