Daniel L. Halbig Obituary
In loving memory of Daniel L. Halbig of Owensboro, Kentucky, who departed this world on June 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Daniel L. leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver A. Halbig and Margaret Schmitt Halbig; and his siblings, Mary Jane Paul and Gene Halbig. He is survived by: his wife Sally Halbig; his children, Dwayne Halbig (Debra) of Lilburn, Debbie Reed (Troy) of Hodgenville, Dale Halbig (Aleata) of Owensboro and Randy Halbig (Christy) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Amanda, Brad, Sister Mary Jacinta, Zach, Matt, Sarah, Ben, Annie Kate and Max; and his siblings, David Halbig (Kathy) of Evansville and Carol Ann Kenney of Oakland, California. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 6:30 PM and on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen Cathedral (610 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
Memorial contributions may be made to Brescia University, St. Stephen Cathedral, or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
