He is survived by: his significant other Deloris "Dee" Van Mierlo; his children, Karen McLaughlin (John), Michelle Policari (Matt), Patricia "Pattie" Martin (Mark) and Greg Van Mierlo (Andria); his grandchildren, Michael, Josh, Shannon, Rachael, Barrett, Chance and Addison; and his great grandchild Mabel.
