He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Eura Rogers and Natti Lee Ross Rogers; his wife Nova Rogers; and his sons, James Elvin Rogers and Gary Eugene Rogers.

He is survived by: his son Paul Rogers (Lynn) of Owensboro, KY; and his siblings, Lewis Earl Rogers and Linda Palmer. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
