With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gene R. Baker of Owensboro, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Baker and Reba Ware Baker; and his sister Marletta Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dixon Baker; his children, Anne Leazenby (Bryan) of Owensboro and Gene "Bob" Baker Jr. (Pam) of Dunlap, TN; his grandchildren, Phillip (Diana) of Greenwood, SC and Kristen (Stephen) of Atlanta, GA; and his great grandchildren, Colton, Kara, Adeline and Emilia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1328 Griffith Ave, Owensboro, KY 42301).
