He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Vineyard and Ila Babbitt Vineyard; his sister Juanita Trogden; and his parents-in-law, Colleen and Willie Brown.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Vineyard; his children, James Dale Vineyard of Copperas Cove, Texas and Jennifer Dawn Kalber of Lewis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Austin, Harlee Vineyard, Britny York and Everleigh Hughes; and his sisters, Carolyn Ford, Glenada Boone and Mary Sue Sandlin of Owensboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
