With sadness, we share the passing of James Patrick Topper of Owensboro, Kentucky. James Patrick, born on October 31, 1945, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Topper and Agnes Topper (Wivell); his son Brian Topper; and his siblings, Marie Sellman, Dorothy Standbach, Bonnie Lingg and Raymond Topper.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Topper; his daughters, Renae Goff (David) and Lisa Millay (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Hannah Millay (Markel Farmer), Christopher Goff, Elise Goff (Cole Holley), Harley Millay (Bailey Wurth) and Brody Millay; his great grandchildren, Maddex, Korbyn, Cecilia, Camille and Harper; and his siblings, Jean Orendorff, Dianna Papini (Ken) and Pamela Cool (Gary).
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Mother Catholic Church (601 E 23rd St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made payable to Blessed Mother Catholic Church at 601 E 23rd St, Owensboro, KY 42303 and St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 47 Depaul St, Emmitsburg, MD 21727.
