Janie Panagos Hancock Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janie Panagos Hancock of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, George L. Panagos, Jr. and Priscilla Panagos Payne. She is survived by: her close friend Jessica Hancock; her son Shane Hancock (Temple); her stepchildren, Rhea Hancock (Carol), Linda Robertson and JuLea Wood; her grandchildren, Evelyn and Ellanor Hancock; her great grandchild Jayden Broad; and her pet Cooper. She is also survived by 4 nieces and 4 nephews; many cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory (519 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery (1300 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303).
