He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert and Jean Bryant Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Marcia; his children, Jefferson Bryant Carpenter II and Caroline Harralson Ruschell (Joe); his grandchildren, Charlotte and Susannah; his son John Kuegel Harralson (Katie); his granddaughters, Evelyn and Cora; his daughter Vasilisa; his brother John Albert Carpenter (Sherry); his nieces, Jeannie Carpenter, Ginger Williams (Brent) and Joy Carroll (Jonathan); his sister-in-law Susan Carpenter (late Jim Carpenter); his sibling's children, Jim (Alicia) and Chris (Alexandra); his brother-in-law Rod Kuegel (Lois); and his nephews, Luke (Samantha) and Clay (Kelsey).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen Cathedral (610 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301). To me, he was a personal friend, mentor, and significant support as we navigated the COVID-19 pandemic.
