He is survived by: his wife Olive Bayless; his children, Amy Hemphill (Shawn), John Bayless Jr. and Donald Bayless (Emily); his siblings, Roberta Cantrell and Claude Bayless (Carol); his grandchildren, Tanner Bayless, Shawn Hemphill Jr., Blake Hemphill, Cody Hemphill and Alexander; and his great grandchild Evelyn Hemphill.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
