He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cecil and Georgia Cecil; his son David Leo Cecil; and his siblings, Marie Simmons, Bernard Cecil, Sister George Ann Cecil, Frankie Cecil, Leon Cecil, Paul Cecil and Bobby Cecil.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Igleheart Cecil; his children, Mark Cecil (Letha), Craig Cecil (Karen), Chuck Cecil (Donna), Gail Murphy (Randall), Peggy Jackson (Bobby), Beth Hall (Sammy), Clay Cecil (Peggy) and Philip Cecil (Beth); his sister Mildred Higdon; and his grandchildren, Mandy Boswell, Natalie Payne, Emily Cecil, Cody Cecil, Katie Cecil, Jody Cecil, Aaron Cecil, Lori Grant, Ashley Huff, Jessica Murphy, Derek Murphy, Stephanie Dawson, Nikki Dukes, Holly Jackson, Casey Escobedo, Andy Hall, Samantha Bolton, Jonathan Hall, Kristen Goode, Magan Iglehart, Nathan Cecil, Nathan Taylor and Shelby Baker. He is also survived by 37 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). Viewing will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Carmel Home (2501 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A Mass will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church (81 Church St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
