Lawrence Paul Strahan Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Paul Strahan of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Lawrence Paul departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Lawrence Paul. Though Lawrence Paul may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Turner Strahan Jr. and Opal Smith Strahan; his wife Leigh Ann; his daughters, Anna Strahan Deaton (Tanner) of Waco, Texas and Katherine Strahan of Lexington; and his siblings, Tolby Strahan (Barbara) of Gulfport, Greg Strahan (Susie) of Owensboro, Carol Sibley (Shannon) of Foxsworth and Paulette Edwards (Steve) of Greenwood, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (230 J R Miller Blvd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made to the Benevolence Ministry at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 904, Owensboro, KY 42302.
