He was predeceased by: his father William Robert; and his brother Mark Sims. He is survived by: his mother Lois Sims; his son Brandon Sims (Mallory); his grandson Colton Bivins; and his siblings, Sandy Merrit, Lori Butler (Thom) and Jeff Sims (Sandra).
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A prayer was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301).
