He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Earl Dowell and Elizabeth Mae Meadows Dowell; his siblings-in-law, David Cobb, Jesse King, Larry Shouse and Linda Shouse; his grandfather Ira Thurman Meadows; his aunts and uncles, John, Vi Meadows, Pat and Mary Agnes Partridge; Chalmus and Mary Agnes Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Henderson Dowell; his half-brother Ronald Earl Dowell of Paducah; his siblings-in-law, Darleen King, Judy Fee (Kevin), Margie Cobb (Mark Conrad), Allen Henderson (Mag) and Darrell Henderson; and his cousins, Janet Mina (Art) and Barb Haase (Marty). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
