With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mildred Calhoun of Owensboro, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mildred left this world on August 7, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Herbert and Miriam Clark (Merimee); her siblings, James H. Clark, Jr., Bobby Clark, Naomi Ebelhar, Joe Bill Clark, Jean Ferrell and Patty Beyke; and her son-in-law Scotty Pate.
She is survived by: her children, Tanya Skeens, Sherri Pate (Mike Cecil), Joe Calhoun (Tammy) and Jim Calhoun (Gus Larrea); her grandchildren, Jared Calhoun (Lenzi), Ashley Pate, Emily Pate (Jacob Worthington) and Katie Bailey (Luke); her great grandchildren, Edison Bare, Kizer Simmons, Callahan Worthington and Baby Bailey; her sisters-in-law, Ivy Clark and Sherma Clark; and her close friends, Beverly Cecil, Carol Ann Payne and Vicki Girten. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery (7162 KY-56, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations made to Carmel Home at 2501 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303, and Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky at 3419 Wathen's Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
