He was predeceased by: his parents, James Phelps and Ruth Phelps; his brother Kenny Phelps of Mt. Vernon, IN.; and his granddaughters, Avery Ruth and Jaleigh Phelps of Owensboro.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Phelps (Faye Baby) of Owensboro; his children, Jeremy Phelps (Melissa), Chris "Digger" Phelps (Marta) and Lori Phelps Roberts (Phil) of Owensboro; his grandchildren, Madison Roberts, Hadley Phelps, Trey Roberts, Tanner Roberts, Hudson Phelps, Trax Roberts and Hallie Phelps; and his siblings, Sheila Abney (Tony) of Beaver Dam, Benny Phelps (Becky) of Hawesville, Dennis Phelps (Leslie) and Donna Perry (Wade) of Owensboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
