He was predeceased by: his parents, O. J. Porter and Eva Brown Porter; his wife Patricia L. Porter; and his siblings, Wendell Porter, Orman Porter and Oval "Maxine" Chinn.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Eason (George) of Owensboro and Bruce Porter (Teresa Jarrard Moore) of Owensboro; his granddaughter Laura Thompson (Danny); his great grandchildren, Michaela (Brandon), Hannah Jo (Colby) and Elizabeth; and his great great grandchild Hudson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
