He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis E. Castlen and Jean Castlen Rhinerson; his stepfather Joe Rhinerson; and his stepbrother David Rhinerson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Hagan Castlen; his children, Christy Crusenberry (Tom), Sarah Castlen (Tim Weidner) and Michael Castlen; his grandchildren, Tristin Crusenberry, Chaney Crusenberry, Michael A. Castlen, Grant Castlen and Royce Weidner; his siblings, Sandy Morris (Danny), Gloria Boarman (Larry), Phillip Castlen (Debbie) and Ginger McBride (Jerry); and his stepsiblings, Rhonda Jones, Sharon Ko, Teresa Tipton, Mark Rhinerson and Jeff Rhinerson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
