He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Eugene Vessels and Edith Vessels (Wall); his wife JoAnn "Richards" Vessels; his son Michael Vessels; his brother William "Billy" Vessels; and his grandson Scotty Luttrell.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Vessels (Valeria), Sylvia Luttrell (Scott), Debbie Zuerner (Bob), Steve Vessels, Tricia West (Mike) and Tom Vessels (Cathy). He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Right to Life and The Heartford House of Owensboro, Ky.
