He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Faye Simmonds (Jonathan); his stepdaughter Shaina Martin; his grandchildren, Raegan Shouse, Emma Simmonds, Jayden Simmonds, Landon Simmonds, Lillian Simmonds and Jonathan Simmonds, Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Xavier Martin, Juniper Martin and Tristan Hunnel; his close friend Wanda Jean Brown; and the mother of his children Linda Shouse. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory (3009 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
