It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Jean Neel Ford of Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Senator Wendell H. Ford; her brother Jack Neel (Maxine); and her in-laws, Reyburn Ford (Dot) and Betty Ford Sharpe (Rex). She is survived by: her grandchild D. C. That; her children, Shirley Dexter (Bill) and Steve Ford (Sarah); her grandchildren, Emily Pendleton, Betsy Dexter, Clay Ford (Diane), Neel Ford (Sarah) and Morgan Ford; her great grandchildren, Whitley Ford, John Clay Ford, Sutton Ford, Wynn Ford, Julia Ford and Winnie Pendleton; her brother Dr. Don Neel (Faye); and her caregivers, Nina, Kami, Linda, Tabitha and Annie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
