He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William "C. W." Tong and Francis Bernadine Payne Tong; and his siblings, Mike, Charlie Tong and Mary Jane Tong.
He is survived by: his wife Salley Tong; his children, Steve Tong Jr. (Stephanie) of Maceo, Chrissy Settles (Scott) of Owensboro and Stephanie Tong of Owensboro; and his brothers, Wayne Tong, Danny Tong (Regina) and John Slayton Sr.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory (900 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
