He was predeceased by: his parents, William Purcell and Dorothy Hamilton Purcell; his son William E Purcell; his siblings, Larry E Purcell and Doe Faye Purcell-Pasco; and his brother-in-law Bill "Bubby" Huskisson.
He is survived by: his wife Antonia S. Purcell; his daughter Connie Sue Betebenner; his granddaughters, Samantha Purcell and Grace Purcell; and his sister Phylliss Jean Huskison (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
