He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Gillaspie and Helen Gillaspie (Shain); and his siblings, Charlie Gillaspie, Mary Cooney and Judy Hagan.
He is survived by: his children, Willie Joe Gillaspie (Maggie), Justin Gillaspie and Kelsey Boaz; his grandchildren, Bailey, Christian, Samuel, David and Summer Gillaspie; and his siblings, Julie Mitchell, Nancy Bolton (Bill), Bobby Gillaspie (Paula), Ray Gillaspie (Ruth), Larry Gillaspie (Theresa) and Jimmy Gillaspie (Beverly). He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory (519 Locust St, Owensboro, KY 42301). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
