He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Howard and Aura Gibson Howard; his former wife Alice Beckham Howard; and his wife Lula "Shug" Howard. He is survived by: his children, Mike Howard (Marcella), Tim Howard (Teresa) and Donna Howard; his stepdaughter Diana "Sudie" Deitz (Ronnie); his great grandchildren, Tori, Bella, Wyatt, Gavin, Landen, Caden, Jordan, Morgan, Micah, Aubrey, Jayden, Jase, Tyler and Linkon; and his siblings, James Howard, Betty Simpson, Delbert Howard, Lucille Howard and Dorothy Smith.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Funeral Homes (202 N Main, Owenton, KY 40359). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery, and memorial contributions are suggested to either Sanders Baptist Church or Squiresville Baptist Church.
