He was predeceased by: his father Charles Wesley Herndon; and his brothers, Chuck and Mike. He is survived by: his mother Wanda Hicks Herndon; his wife Phyllis Stewart Herndon; his sons, Michael, Chad (Katie) and Christopher (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Kara (Joe Sodano), Charlie (Miranda Arnold), Dakota and Makayla; and his brother Willie Herndon (Tara).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Funeral Homes (202 N Main, Owenton, KY 40359). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
