It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Sue Karsner (Owenton, Kentucky), who passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Karen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, R. C. "Pete" Dawson and Doris Roberts Dawson. She is survived by: her daughters, Amber Wagers (Sarah) and Meagan Greenlee (Matt); her grandson Kenneth Wagers; her pet Tessie; her sisters, Sharon Woods (Bill) and Dede Grisham (Mike); and her friend Doris Kincaid. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the New Funeral Homes (202 N Main, Owenton, KY 40359). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Owen County Friends of Animals or Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
