He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Starmount Fitzgerald and Gladys Criswell Fitzgerald of Owenton; and his brothers, Larry and Franky Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his children, Gayla Lewis (Eric), Joy Colligan (Charlie), Nathan Fitzgerald (Melissa) and Mariah Keith (James); his grandchildren, Audrey Farrar (Nate), Brandon Lewis (Trinity), Cody (Joelle), Ellie, Anderson, Josie Colligan, Cameron, Lily, Toby, Betsy Fitzgerald, Raylan and Ruth (Ripp Keith); his great grandchildren, Devaney, Dean Farrar and Lainey Lindsey; and his siblings, Melody Lyons (Tommy), Charity Lowrance, Scotty and Derek Fitzgerald. He is also survived by his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Funeral Homes (248 W Seminary St, Owenton, KY 40359). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at 9360 KY-355, Owenton, KY 40359.
