He is survived by: his pet Max; his wife Carleen Faye Shields; his sons, Jeremy Shields (Zackery Booker) of Bethel and Tyler Shields (Rachel) of Sharpsburg; and his siblings, Andrew "Bubby" Shields (Sue) of Bethel, Wayne Allen Shields (Patty) of Bethel and Peggy Shields of Olympia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
