He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Walton Ball and Edith Clarine Patterson Ball; his son Charles "Chuck" Ball; and his brothers, Robert Franklin Ball and Gene Ball.
He is survived by: his wife Saundra Sands Ball; his daughter Davena Sands (Brian) of Limestone; and his siblings, Walter Ball of Erwin, Kenny Ball (Angie) of Limestone, Sandy Rogers (Clay), Debra Jones (Robert) of Chucky and Phyllis Burleson of Erwin, Tennessee.. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
