She was predeceased by : her parents, John Saunders and Nora Saunders; her husband Lavernon Thomas; and her siblings, Curtis Lee Saunders, Emma Mae Humphries, Viola McKee and Stella Saunders.

She is survived by : her children, Lavernon Thomas Jr. of Olympia and Linda Willoughby (Charlie) of Owingsville. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
