He is survived by: his wife Athonia Ingram Barger; his stepchildren, Travis Fields (Crystal) of Owingsville and Sonja McCarty (Randy) of Owingsville; his siblings, Tom Barger (Johnita) of Frankfort, Jerry Barger of Lexington, Henry Barger (Rosie) of Montpelier and Charlene Barger of Owingsville; and his grandchildren, Hunter McCarty (Jordan), Zane McCarty, Alex Fields (Summer) and Zachary Fields.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home (89 Slate Ave, Owingsville, KY 40360). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home (89 Slate Ave, Owingsville, KY 40360).
