He is survived by: his children, Elbert Carpenter Jr. (Wendy Rudd) of Owingsville, Rodney Carpenter (Sondra Fredrick) of Owingsville, Billy Wayne Rairden (Tammy) of Frenchburg, Paula Miles (Chip) of Mt. Sterling and Martha Franklin of Mt. Sterling; his sister Thelma Frazier (Wendall) of Mt. Sterling; and his grandchildren, Randy Johnson (Melissa), Shawna Maloney, William Rairden (Melissa), Heather Eldridge (Michael), Stacey Ensor (Johnathon McMahan), Josh Miles, Karissa Carpenter (Austin Neff), JT Carpenter, Courtney Carpenter, David Fredrick and Sara Fredrick. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
