It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Short (Owingsville, Kentucky), who passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Shirley's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Shirley has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Stiddom and Louella Proffit Stiddom; her husband William Short; her son William David Short; and her siblings, Bobby Joe Stiddom and Elsie Faye Wilson.
She is survived by: her daughter Libby Gose (Kenny) of Mount Sterling; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Gose (Kevin) of Mount Sterling, William Nicholas Ray Evans (Katelin) of Jeffersonville and Gage Thomas Gose of Mount Sterling; and her great grandchildren, Savannah Grace Gose, Andrea Shirlean Gose and Myla Marie Gose.
