He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herman and Pauline Toy Goldie; his sister Peggy Joyce Goldie; his sister-in-law Mildred Goldie; and his close friend Kathy Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Brandon Goldie (Jessica) of Scott County, KY and Amber Goldie of Georgetown, KY; his siblings, James H. Goldie, Jr. of Stanton, KY, Larry Goldie (Helen) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Sharon Goldie (Stanley Willoughby) of Mt. Sterling, KY; his grandchildren, Jordon Goldie, Jackson Goldie, Alayna Watkins, Ryan Cummins, Devon Triggs and Payton Triggs; and his pet Teddy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
