With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Agnes Marie Butler of Paducah, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 8, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Noel McElya; her husband Ben Butler; her children, Wes Pitchford, Christy Pitchford and Johnny Lawrence; her foster son Johnny Lawrence; and her mother Lucille Crenshaw McElya of Heath.
She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Pitchford (Sarah) and Marc Richardson; her stepdaughter Susan Butler; her siblings, Jerry McElya (Judy), Bill McElya (Cathy), Janice Pace (Ted), Faye Spillman and Linda Fowler (Gary); her grandchildren, Rachelle Reynolds (Gene), Shawn Pitchford (Brittany Tabor), Danielle Thoman (Ethan), Tabatha Pitchford, Todd Pitchford (Judy), Tanner Brown (Kathleen), Lexi Pitchford (James), Gabe Pitchford and Dustin Lawrence; and her great grandchildren, Zoey Reynolds, Zeven Reynolds, Liam Pitchford, Ariel Pitchford, Tally Pitchford, Jada Peeler, Cayden Thoman, Declan Thoman, Natalee Binkley, Lily Pitchford, Brooklyn Jones and Tucker Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
