She was predeceased by: her parent Melvie Gilbert; her husband Wendal Thompson; her son Jemery Thompson; her mother Mary Lucille Gilbert; and her brothers, Rufus Gilbert, Mark Gilbert and Melvie Park (Gil).

She is survived by: her sons, Tim Gilbert, Jason Thompson and Willie Thompson of Paducah Ky; her stepdaughters, Wendy Byers and Valerie Glidewell; her sisters, Wanda Purcell of Cadiz Ky and Sherry LaGore of Paducah Ky; and her grandchildren, Kyler Thompson, Hadley, Emmerson and Addison Thompson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
