He is survived by: his wife Crystal Myre of Paducah; his son David Myre Jr. (Gwendolyn) of Paducah; his siblings, Jerry Lynn Myre of Livingston County, JoAnn Downs (Gary) of West Paducah and June Richardson of Paducah; and his grandsons, Hunter Powell and Jace Alexander.
