He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Cecil Thompson and Norma Jean Scott Thompson; and his sister Weda Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Swain Thompson; his children, Brady Thompson (Dana) of Paducah, Angela Thompson Flock (Brian) of Mt. Juliet and Sandy Jarvis Reed (Rod) of Mayfield, Kentucky; his brother Philip R. Thompson (Julia) of Lovelaceville, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Shannon Jarvis Norman (Ryan), Stacey Jarvis Scheer (Chris), Heather Catilla, Trent Catilla, Devan Reed, Chase Jarvis, McCall Thompson, Madelyn Thompson Carson Reed (Will Templeton), Nolan Flock, Lydia Flock and Maddox Weaks. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
