He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jesse Gilbert and Alma Ethel Gilbert (Darnell); his daughter Dawn Michelle Gilbert; and his siblings, Katherine Brantley, Frances Adams, Linda McDowell, William Richard Gilbert, Charles Michael Gilbert and Walter Gilbert.
He is survived by: his son Christopher Paul Gilbert of Paducah; his siblings, Raymond Jackie Gilbert of Paducah, Donald Lee Gilbert of Paducah and Hannah Williams of Reidland; his grandchildren, Chris Gilbert and Kiersten Gilbert; and his great grandchild Alauna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
