He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Kortz; his parents, Frank Kortz and Mary Luvada Kortz; and his siblings, James Kortz, Mildred Kortz, Mary Katherine Wurth and Doris Scheer.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Kortz of Missouri, Chris Kortz (Kim Champion) of Symsonia, Jamie Kortz of Kentucky, Amanda Kortz of Paducah and Michele Livesay (Bryan McNeill) of Paducah; his siblings, Ethel O'Neill (Walter) of Carlisle, Richard Kortz (Florence) of Owensboro and Charles Kortz of Paducah; his grandchildren, Justin Kortz (Laura), Paige Bell (Cody), Carsyn Kortz, Aaron, Ryan, Logan (Hannah) and Kelsie Livesay; and his great grandchildren, Kaden, Kegan, Kylee, Sophia Kortz, Serena, Emery Bell, Delilah and Khloe Livesay. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
