He was predeceased by: his parents, Ossie J. Davis and Erma R. Mathis Davis; and his son Robert Davis. He is survived by: his close friend Laura Middleton of Ledbetter, Kentucky; and his children, Scott Davis of Lexington, Kentucky and Jessica McDowell of Princeton, Indiana. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
