Jane Rutter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane Rutter of Paducah, Kentucky, who passed away on May 21, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Guthrie Wheeler and Bertha Ferguson Wheeler; her husband J. R. Rutter; and her sisters, Bertha Wheeler Wenzel and Mary Wheeler Hilliard.
She is survived by: her children, Sarah Mayfield (John) of Hoover, Alabama and Wheeler Underwood (Josie) of Paducah; her grandchildren, Whitney Michele Elrod (Ben), Jadianne Underwood and Mariah Underwood Boyd (Jacob); and her great grandchildren, Marley Jane Renfroe, Jack Henderson Renfroe, Adrian Boyd and Kora Boyd.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church (820 Broadway St, Paducah, KY 42001). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
