He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Jones and Edith Hardin Jones; his wife Patricia Snow Jones; and his siblings, Larry Jones, Jewell Jones, Joyce Bonds and Jean Powell.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Jones (Rebecca) of New Hampshire, Kevin Jones of Vermont, Jeffrey Jones of Georgia and Elizabeth "Beth" Girard (Trev) of New Hampshire; his brother Jerry Jones of Paducah; and his grandchildren, Gregory Harris Jones, Brian Harris Jones, Alex Girard and Allison Girard.
