As we bid adieu to Kathy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Kathy has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvis Powell and Lucille Leidecker Laird; and her stepfather Freddy Ray Laird. She is survived by: her sister Janice Mathis (Larry) of Smithland, KY; her niece Tammy Renee Mathis of Decatur; her stepbrother Kelly Ray Laird (Michelle) of Bardwell, KY; and her uncle Albert Leidecker (Shirley) of Paducah.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens - Paducah (6965 Old US Hwy 45 S, Paducah, KY 42003).
