He was predeceased by: his parents, William Chester Cathey and Emma Louise Duncan Cathey; and his son Trevor Cathey. He is survived by: his sisters, Karen Bryan (Mike) of Paducah, Kentucky and Lisa Parker (Jeff) of Paducah, Kentucky; his nieces and nephews, Ashlee Bryan Poat, Kyle Cooper, Brandon Cooper, Tyler Parker, Tanner Parker and Jason Howell; and his close friend Sharon May.
