Mary Helen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mary Helen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Mary Helen will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hobert J. Whitmer and Margaret Allison Whitmer. She is survived by: her husband Alan Hook of Paducah, Kentucky; her sons, Rodney Hook (Christina) of New York and Patrick Hook (Teena) of Paducah, Kentucky; her siblings, Marjorie Noffsinger (Cleetis) of Richmond and Hobert J. "Hobie" Whitmer (Betty) of Sacramento, Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Lucy, Alice, Mabel, Miles and Mazzy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah (120 Memorial Dr, Paducah, KY 42001). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
