He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Edgar Hicks and Bertha Violet Hatfield Hicks; his wife Christina Lovvo Hicks; and his siblings, Patricia Dillard and Ace Lee Hicks.
He is survived by: his son Rodney Hicks of Clarksville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Silas Daniel Lee Hicks and Sparrow Sebastion Hicks; and his siblings, Crystal Meade of Ledbetter, Lily Andrade (Manuel) of Hacienda Heights, California, Gregory Hicks (Sharon) of Greenville and Eddie Hicks of Grand Rivers, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
