With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Odetta Hughes Long of Paducah, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband George Hughes, Jr.; her parents, William Teitloff and Hazel Teitloff (Wood); and her son Michael Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Gene Hughes (Kay) of Sharpe, Dennis Hughes (Jennifer) of Benton, Rita Lichtenberg (Richard) of Benton and Venita Wilson (Mike) of Paducah; her grandchildren, Jessica Hughes, Rachel Hughes, Steven Lichtenberg, Christopher Wilson and Aaron Wilson; and her great grandchildren, Carson Lichtenberg, Ty Campbell, Seth Campbell, Jackson Lichtenberg, Maci Wilson, Barron Wilson and Hadley Wilson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hughes Funeral Home (2975 Old Husbands Rd, Paducah, KY 42003). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
