She was predeceased by: her mother Nora Joiner; and her sister Sue Ellen Burns (Robert Gray Spencer). She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Spencer-Gartner (Mark); her granddaughter Miranda Gartner; her boyfriend David Deese; and her sibling's children, Jim Burns (Kelley Pezzella), John Burns (Lisa) and Angie Mills (Brad).

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memphis Memory Gardens (6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134).
